Calista surprised us late afternoon with a stunning fewcap appaloosa colt! He is super friendly and loves attention. Although there is no genetic test (yet!) fewspots and fewcaps are thought to be homozygous (carry two genes vs. one) of the appaloosa gene so all offspring will carry atleast one appaloosa gene.

Sonny's pedigree boasts not only well colored- big spotted horses but also quality conformation and temperment. Sonny is extremely sweet. Both his parents were raised here and are excellent examples of miniature appaloosas. I expect this colt to mature with even more quality plus being a few spot will have the best chance of any of the appaloosa patterns of producing appaloosa coloring. He may not show a lot of spots but that's how the double copies of Appaloosa coloring works. He's also homozygous for black! He will be AMHA registered.
